Guide to the
NRS E-Mail Forwarding System
(July 24, 2003)
The NRS e-Mail forwarding system is an integral part of the NRS Information System.

The NRS Electronic
Mail Forwarding System accepts mail addressed to personnel affiliated with
the NRS system
(NRS site personnel,
visiting researchers, etc.), and forwards this mail to the person's "home
address".
Thus, messages sent to username@UCNRS.org
are
forwarded to the person 'username'.
For
example, mail to JDoe@UCNRS.org will
be forwarded to JohnDoe@ucdavis.edu, John Doe’s e-mail box at
UC Davis.

1. Use
the first letter of a person's first name, plus the last name.
2. 'username' and address are NOT case sensitive
(any letter can be either upper
or lower case).
Thus, JDoe@UCNRS.org is considered the
same address as jdoe@ucnrs.org. (Upper-case
letters are used to improve readability only.)
